Send a message with every dollar you spend - Protect our Pacific coast from oil spills
For 37 years the northern coastal waters of British Columbia have been protected from oil tanker traffic. This ban is now under threat.
Plans to build pipelines and a supertanker port in BC to service the Alberta Tar Sands are moving forward with support from the BC and Canadian Governments.
But there is still time to save our coast.
Dogwood Initiative is distributing 200,000 removable decals. These decals can be applied to most smooth surfaces including plastic, glass and metal. Once applied, each decal will help spread the word about oil spills from proposed Tar Sands Tankers on the coast of BC’s Great Bear Rainforest.
Have you spotted a notanker loonie? Track your sighting using the form to the right of this text. You can also order your own decals to help us reach our goal of
1, 000, 000 notanker loonies in circulation.
